Here’s a quick mini blog post about a clever Christmas gift idea that I really want to share.
Updated December 2018.
eatsleepdoodle make 100% cotton duvet covers and tablecloths with a difference. First of all there’s the pretty hand drawn map print on a soft blue background. Like all good maps this one is full of details: sea creatures, animals, boats, landmarks and the seven modern wonders of the world. It’s pretty enough to pop straight onto a bed or a table – but that would be missing the point.
All the products come with a colour-packed set of washable double-ended fabric pens and invite you to start doodling. Children – and adults – can create and colour straight onto their tablecloth, place mats or pillowcases; it all comes out again with a warm machine wash.
eatsleepdoodle have a range of washable, doodle-able products. As well as the world map pattern there’s a landscape with dinosaurs, a butterfly collection and graph paper or notebook grids to choose from. Bedding, table linen, aprons, backpacks, pencil cases and even a little handbag can all be coloured in and washed clean again. There are bundles and party packs too.
I’d pack the placemats and pens for younger children to while away the time in restaurants or airports. Or hand out the colouring pens to make bedtime a bit more fun. Teens and their parents can use the tablecloths for messages, shopping reminders, to-do lists – or plan the post-exam inter-rail trip on the world map!

Obviously Map&Family has a soft spot for the world map range. The Colour and Learn World Map pillowcase is £14.95, the single duvet is £39.95, the tablecloth is £22.95 while a set of four placemats is also £22.95. Lovely for Christmas and there’s still time to order. Find it all at https://www.eatsleepdoodle.co.uk/
By the way, this isn’t a sponsored post. I spotted the stand at a Christmas Fair myself last year and Chrissie, the award-winning creator of eatsleepdoodle, is an ex-colleague so I know it’s going to be good!
